UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITES

THE SOUTH EAST REGION IS ONE OF THE RICHEST AREAS OF MALTA WITH THREE SITES OF OUTSTANDING UNIVERSAL HERITAGE VALUE. THE SOUTH EAST REGIONAL ACTION PLAN CONSIDERS THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A HERITAGE PACKAGE FOR THE REGION.   

PROJECTS

In developing the First Draft SERC Councils considered  priority projects. The projects were geared mainly at; infrastructure, social and physical regeneration. Councils also listed; heritage, restoration of monuments and tourism related projects. The respondents also highlighted the need for new council offices or local service centres, embellishment, gardens and parks. Other singular projects listed included; PVP farms, sports facilities and street lighting. SOUTH EAST REGIONAL ACTION PLAN POLICY 3.1.
